This NFDA Online Course, utilizing video recordings from the 2018 NFDA Embalming and Restorative Art Seminar at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, is designed to demonstrate restorative art techniques, including the surgical reduction of swollen eyes, surgical reflection of facial tissue and treatment of lacerations and abrasions of the face.
This online course will help participants discover tried and true techniques for soft tissue repair. Expert embalmers will demonstrate proper analysis and assessment of traumatic injuries, selection of products needed for successful results and case review and discussion on actual reconstructed cases.
After completing this online course, you will be better able to:
- Identify the physiological, chemical and anatomical embalming case difficulties.
- Recognize the importance of proper chronological order of techniques in cases of trauma.
- Review analysis and assessment of traumatic injuries, and discover new and improved embalming tips and techniques.
- Overcome common embalming problems, and learn techniques for proper body preparation and viewing.
